This solution article will explain how to create a Religious Ed Fund and how to enter annual fees and payments. Note: The functions described in this solution article are typically done by the Bookkeeper and/or Parish Admin. If this is a function of the Religious Ed Office then you may need to obtain access to the Fund Module.

Creating the Religious Ed Fees Fund
To create a new fund please refer to this Solution article. Creating A New Fund. Note: You may require additional access rights for the Fund Module. Please contact your Parish Administrator.
Scroll to Fundraising > Fund Maintenance and click New Fund.
You will be brought to the Fund Creation screen. Enter Fund Description and be sure Active is selected in the drop-down menu. If this fund becomes obsolete you can change the status to Inactive and it will be moved to the Inactive Tab under Fund Maintenance. The From Date and To Date are optional. The remaining fields are typically used when you are running a Capital Campaign and/or Annual fund drive.
Click Create. Your fund will now show up under Fund Maintenance.
Entering Religious Ed Fees
Scroll to Fundraising > Fund Maintenance and open on your current Religious ED Fees Fund. Click on the Active Pledges Tab.
Click on New Pledge and the Add New Pledge pop-up box will appear. Type in the Family Last Name in the Family field and a drop-down list of names will appear. Select the correct family. Enter the Total Fee for the Family. Select One-Time for the frequency. Comments can be used to indicate Monthly Payments, Online User, Paid-In-Full, Family Discounts applied etc. Click Save.
Note: Other Frequency's can be used however, for Religious Ed we suggest using the One-Time frequency. The other frequencies are typically used when the parish is running a capital campaign or annual fund drive where the parishioner is making a pledge and/or annual commitment over a long period of time.
To view the Religious Ed Fees for an individual family you can go to the Pledges Tab in the Family Record.
Entering Religious Ed Payments
You may enter Religious Ed Payments by creating batches (Batch Contribution Entry) or by entering directly into the fund itself. (Entering Contributions in Funds Maintenance). Note: You may want to contact your Bookkeeper/Parish Admin or Pastor to see if they have a preference as to how you enter your Religious Ed Payments. To view payments you can click on the Contributions Tab while in the Fund or you may view in the Family Record in the Contributions Tab.
